About Mark

Mark Rutherford is a Licensed Psychotherapist in private practice in South Florida since 1997. Mark received his bachelors from Florida State University in 1990 in Communications and his Masters degree in Social Work from Boston University in Massachusetts in 1995. Prior to that he worked in the HIV/AIDS field as a social worker for Comprehensive AIDS Program of Palm Beach County for five years. As a certified Imago Relationship Therapist, his practice concentrates on relationship issues and couples counseling as well as the spectrum of other related mental health concerns. These include anxiety related disorders, addiction issues, sexually compulsive behaviors, depression, anger management, and grief and loss issues.

Currently Mark writes an advice column, "Healthy Relationships", for the Palm Beach Post newspaper online. The tone of the column is a no nonsense, straight forward, educated forum where readers can feel comfortable asking any and all questions and get constructive answers from a mental health professional. He also writes a column for the GLBT population called "QuestionMark?" which is published in HotSpots Magazine.
